Ibanez went old schoolpassive alnico DiMarzio for pickups onthe S1070PBZ. It features choices popular from DiMarzio since the early 1990s, with an Air Norton in the neck position, True Velvet middle position single coil, and the classic Tone Zone bridge pickup. The Tone Zone was in fact the narrowest of second choices for the at-the-time signature model of arguably the greatest rock guitar player in the world! (Look it up!)
