The Fender Vintera II ’60s Stratocaster pays homage to the enduring design of early ’60s pre-CBS Stratocasters. Crafted in Ensenada, Mexico, this new Vintera model is built to be played and caters perfectly to aficionados of vintage Fender guitars.
This particular model is finished in Lake Placid Blue, a popular custom color option from Fender in the 1960s. This model features the Slab Rosewood fingerboard option. Gone are the Pau Ferro fingerboards of previous Vintera models. While Pau Ferro is known for its exceptional strength and sustainability, when one envisions a 1960s Fender, the mind naturally gravitates toward a Rosewood fingerboard, and the Vintera II ’60s Stratocaster delivers precisely that.
Among its notable attributes, the Vintera II ’60s Stratocaster features an Alder body, a Maple neck with a ’60s “C” profile, a 7.25″ fingerboard radius, 21 Vintage Tall frets, Fender vintage-style tuners, a Gloss Urethane neck finish, and classic white dot inlays.
Factory-fitted with a trio of Vintage-Style ’60s Single-Coil Strat pickups, Tone 1 is assigned to the Neck and Middle position pickups, while Tone 2 is dedicated to the Bridge pickup. For your convenience and instrument protection, Fender includes a Deluxe Gig Bag with this and all Vintera II Guitars.
For those in pursuit of the distinctive sound and style of ’60s Fender, the Vintera II ’60s Stratocaster is a stellar choice.
