The Fender Newport Player acoustic isan intermediate-level guitar with a radical west-coast stylistic inspiration. Electric players will immediately feel at home with this guitar, bearing a classic Fender Stratocaster-style headstock and 6-in-line tuners and a thinner body than most traditional acoustic guitars.

The Newporter auditorium body, a Fender original design, is built arounda Solid Spruce top with scalloped X-bracing, laminated Sapele back and sides, and receives a satin finish throughout. Its Nato neck features many of the same tonal properties and densities as traditional Mahogany, making for an ideal fit for an intermediate level acoustic such as this, offering strength and reliability at a modest price without utilizing lesser grade material.

The Newporter Player acoustic’s Slim-C neck carve offers an easy and comfortable fit for growing hands and players of nearly all styles. Also featured are a Walnut fingerboard with20 standard frets and 15.75″ radius, and GraphTech NuBone nut and saddle. The Newporter Player also offers a modern heel-adjustable truss rod for easy neck adjustments when necessary.

A Fishman Flex pickup is factory loaded on the Newporter Player, with controls for volume and tone located on the top bout of the Sapele body. The tone control also features push/push operation for in phase/out of phase selection, ideal for live situations where pesky low-end feedback has to be battled.
