At this point, the American Professional Classic HotShot Tele brings on a satin-finished maple neck in a Modern “C” profile that feels familiar to other modern Fender series neck. The neck then fills out to a fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets that match precision and comfort. A 9.5″ radius puts a flatter, more modern feel on the fingers while playing.

With its voice, the American Professional Classic HotShot Telecaster loads up a revitalized version of the beloved “Nashville” Tele-style setup. New Coastline ’63 Single-Coil Telecaster pickups line up in neck and bridge positions for retro-style twang and articulation. In between, a Coastline ’57 Single-Coil Stratocaster pickup brings a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity Strat sound to build up an added bit of sonic variety. Onboard, Fender’s Greasebucket tone circuit retains signal clarity even when tone and volume are adjusted.

The guitar’s sturdy hardware setup builds up this American Professional Classic’s voice as it enhances playability. A three-saddle, vintage-style, strings-through-body Tele bridge lands with slotted brass barrel saddles for a solid connection of string-to-body. Fender ClassicGear staggered tuning machines and a synthetic bone nut land at the headstock for streamlined stringing.
